Stumbled upon this deal while casually looking for a slightly larger alternate brand - the price was right enough for me to take a chance having never owned any Vizio products in the past. Set up was easy, and this TV is very versatile. Very pleased with my purchase!

A few unexpected flaws

Bought this figuring a smart TV would have Starz but nope. Also when starting thd TV it took nearly an hour to update which looped thru 7 cycles of updates and restarts. Reminded me of Microsoft Windows updates. Once it did start you must be fast on the remote to set input to a different HDMI input. Other than those items we are somewhat satisfied. We like our older model Vizio in our family room much better. Easier to select inputs on it. Sometimes newer is not always better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Bob 1, during initial setup the television may update to the latest firmware version as this allows you to have access to the latest features such as Apple Airplay. This update should not have taken the length of time you suggest connection and download speed can sometimes affect this.
