I bought the set was as impressed with its features. But it died in less than a year and a half. Right after the manufacturer's warranty expired.

great tv, but it needs updates or something

I have called into vizio to ask why my tv is always blacking out for 3 seconds at a time regularly and I was told that the firmware needed regular updating, but how the heck do you do updates? I am registering the tv to hopefully get it updated cuz I love the tv but hate the interruptions. Help me. I will raise my rating of the tv. thanks

When a VIZIO TV is connected to an internet network, the TV will automatically update when the TV's power setting is set to Quick Start and an update is made available. Updates can also be initiated in the TV's menu by navigating to Menu>Admin & Privacy>Check for Updates. Please do keep in contact with our support team if you continue to experience issues.
