Unpleasant

So I caught sight of this particular series of Vizio off a few websites and decided to give it a try. I had an LG 55” I was swapping out after 12 years. It was an amazing TV, LED/LCD hybrid. So after doing a lot of research I decided to make the purchase on the V series of Vizio. Within my first 2 days of owning the TV it froze on the main screen and wouldn’t transition to anything else. Since that moment it continues to freeze on me at least 1 time a week consistently and I have to end up unplugging it and waiting 10 seconds to plug it back in. I’ve owned this TV for about 6 months. I may end up back with LG. I have checked firmware and all updates and all the software are up to date. Not sure yet what I will do but so far I am not recommending this TV brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good with extra sound bar

I bought it and used it for about 2 months and decided to get a Visio 2.1 channel sound bar better now.

poor quality of picture and sound

This was a birthday gift to replace my Samsung that had a black spot on the screen, probably a dog toy hit hit it. Both were the same size, but the Vizio at least 50% lighter which to me felt cheap. I would have liked some hook up information, it was irritating to have to go online to get a manual for the information, specifically how to connect to my Dish. When first turning it on, I immediately noticed the picture quality was poor, colors are off and the sound is bad. I was unable to return the gift so I'll keep it for awhile.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and that you’re getting an HD (or UHD) signal. You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the Vivid or Calibrated setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’. New Visio TV

Our new Visio TV includes YouTube TV streaming application which we use for watching our TV shows. I did have a problem with the Visio remote. The Visio help desk helped me fix the remote.
