No sound!!!

We bought a new vizio 50” smart tv. Found out not smart at all. When I hiked it up there was no sound. Got on the phone with a vizio technician. She spent a great amount of time changing settings and her final conclusion was it could not communicate with our cable. Cable tech said has had this problem with vizio. Could fix by changing out the box which would lose recordings. Have a new Samsung.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When i try using the HDMI input, it says “your tv does not support this programs content protection. Try replacing the HDMI cable with component cables to view this program.” The picture isnt hd with component cables

A common term for this is called "HDCP" or High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. When getting HDCP errors, it is recommended to use alternate HDMI cords. I will never buy this brand again

I am currently waiting on my 3rd tv in 6 months. It takes a month or longer to get a replacement each time. This tv has serious flaws that need to be addressed. First tv got lines and flashing black screen within a month and second tv has bright circles all over the screen and the speakers are messed up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had only LG smart tv's in the past. I believe this VIZIO outshines the LG in picture quality, feature and user friendly functions. Great TV Great Buy!
