Smart cast is glitching already and I have had it for a month
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great TV for a good price

Easy to setup out of the box, the instructions are clear enough it took about 10 minutes to get started.
The smart TV got pre loaded much of the app that I am using in another devices.
I am working from home and using it as a secondary monitor for presentation and Skype.

For the money, it's worth it

I'm on a limited budget so this was a good deal. I like the Smartcast feature very much. It was confusing at first but eventually, anyone should be able to get the hang of it. It was easy to set up. The sounds not all that good without a soundbar but it will do for my needs. The picture probably would look better with some adjustments. I haven't got that far yet. My one complaint is the legs, I would have preferred a pedestal stand but those seem to be rare on TVs now, so I had to do some improvising to get it to fit in a small space. I am happy so far.

For the price it’s great. It isn’t as sharp as the LG we have but it would have cost 30% more to get another LG the same size as the Visio we bought. This was for a bedroom so we didn’t want to spend as much. We have a Visio in our Motorhome and it has been great (8 yrs old).
I would recommend this to a friend!
