I cannot get the remote to pair up with my Dish remote Very frustrating
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Typically TV remotes are not able to control the cable box, but you can typically use the cable box remote to control the TV as well. I would recommend to contact your cable provider for instructions to sync your cable remote to the TV. Easy setup. Great picture and sound. I am happy with my purchase. My suggestion for improvement involves the QR scan. I scanned the QR code for documents. I discovered I had to get a file mgmt ap to get the documents. Never was successful. That needs to be corrected.
