Remote issues after update and reset

After using the factory admin reset the remote that came with my Visio would no longer allow me to select options on the reboot steps. I am pretty displeased and am unsure how to fix the issue. I have tried all trouble shooting. I’ve had it for about a year and now I’m not sure what to do..

We bought this to replace another brand that did not last through the warranty period. We strayed away from Vizio and had a bad experience. We have never had a bad experience with Vizio.
