Picture is not what I expected

The picture seems to lack the quality that my older magnavox had which kind of shocks me. When it goes to a close up on things itnis clear but the background images are very grainy. When I'm watching football and they zoom back and show all the players their helmets and hands are actually blurry. I have played around with the settings and nothing seems to help.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of your VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in 4K (2160p) or Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms, try using the ‘VIVID’ picture mode for a brighter, more colorful image. I went from a 14 year old 46 inch tv to a 70 inch. It’s like a movie theater in my living room. I love it!
