Great tv for price but If you direct tv don’t buy

I love this tv however let’s start with the major issue. If you have direct tv don’t purchase this tv because it’s a pain to get the uhd function to work on they’re 4k genie box. At first it will tell you that your tv is not compatible. Then u got to go settings then inputs and enable uhd. And then to watch non 4k content you have to go and disable uhd otherwise the screen will flash and pop from static to black.(like when you have a bad hdmi cord). I’ve tried higher quality hdmi cords and nothing changes. Also direct tv recommends to plug into the arc hdmi port which is fine if your not using it for surround sound or sound bar. That’s only negative I found.
Now for the positive review: picture is amazing even on regular 1080i or 1080p programs as it upscales the resolution. The stock speakers that are built in to tv surprised me a bunch as they sound amazing and I can actually hear the tv and people talking on it.unlike my old lg 3D tv I couldn’t hear nothing without a soundbar. So this one is great if you don’t own a sound bar. It sounds amazing either with or without a sound bar or surround system. I have a Sony Blu-ray surround system hooked to it. Tv suppports Dolby atmos sound. If my old surround system supported atmos rather than just plain Dolby it would probably knock my walls down from the sound lol. The SmartCast functionality is good only complaint is that u can’t add any other apps than what it comes with. I love that I can air play my iPhone to tv as well as my wife she can cast from her android phone. This tv has easy to use menus. It picks up over the air channels pretty good. We live in a dead spot where we get no tv signal even with a pole antenna. And we pick up like 10 channels with tv. So kudos on that vizio. And another great thing is we have slow satellite internet and the apps on tv work pretty good with minimal buffering. We just upgraded to cable internet and the 4k content from prime and Netflix is pretty amazing. I would have rated higher but with the direct tv functionality is a big deal especially since it’s a know issue with this model. ATTENTION VIZIO >>>> Please push and update to fix the compatibility for directv genie receivers
