So many options without subscriptions

What? No internet browser?

It is hard to believe that this sophisticated product does not have some means to browse the internet. What a mistake (on both our parts).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Stm1223. Our SmartCast TV's have built in chromecast technology that allows our customers to cast thousands of different applications. We also have Apple AirPlay 2 so our customers can AirPlay their content to the TV. Using either of these features will allow you to screen mirror your phone, tablet, or computer to the TV to surf the web on the TV itself.
