I was smoked out of my own house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try the airfry function on my new Frigidaire Gallery gas range with air fry. I previously had a countertop air fryer that I used frequently but when I decided to buy this range, I gave it away.
Last night, I cooked 6 chicken thighs in my air fry oven. I followed all manufacturer suggestions. I patted the chicken dry and coated with a dry rub (no oil). I used the Frigidaire air fry tray on rack level 3. I placed a large cookie sheet with foil lined parchment paper two levels below. I set the temperature to air fry 375.
The smoke that filled my home was so intense I had to go outside. That is after I had to silence the smoke alarm, which is down the hall and around the corner from my kitchen, several times. It kept going off and eventually, the smoke was so dense I had to go outside in order to breathe! I opened every window in my house and it was 40 degrees outside here in Upstate NY.
Not only that, my brand new oven is now so dirty I'm not sure it will even get clean! The air fry tray is a disaster and so is the brand new sheet pan I bought to fit under it. I am so disappointed and wish I had not given away my counter top air fryer. After all the hype over this "new invention" I guess I thought Frigidaire would have done some test cooking in their kitchens to see just how much smoke is generated using the air fry setting.

Love this gas stove!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a beautiful stove and so glad my husband and I went with a gas stove. First one we’ve ever used. The oven is amazing with 3 racks. Very fast warm up. I love the oven light feature. My last oven didn’t have one.
