The "S" should stand for sucks because it doesn't have audio out. It also intermittingly flashes screens on and off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'd give this a 3.5 to 4 rating. We've had some that just would randomly stop working. A secondary issue is that the usb cable from the dock to the computer needs to be replaceable. We've had several people pinch these in standing desks or some where the cable just went bad. Unfortunately it wasn't something that we could purchase from dell or find online easily. They are super easy to replace if you can find the replacement.
I'm trying to figure out how to make it work, as none of the USB slots work...very disappointed in the documentation and the lack of plug & play.

Many, or most issues we have had with Docking stations are resolved by rebooting. It's not as easy as it sounds. You have to remove any source of power and thn hold the power button to discharge the "Flea Power" The bit left in the capacitors. It takes 30-60 seconds and if you don't then don't bother trying a reboot. It won't work. If you do then chances are everything will work fine.
Only 1 screen works on Mac, Only 1 Display Port works on Windows

Great docking station . Only thing needed is an audio plug.
