I appreciate that it provides power to the laptop as well as the connections I need. I was able to purchase a mount from Dell as well and placed it under my desktop to clear up clutter. I recommend this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best, most reliable Thunderbolt dock I have used! It works as intended. You can hot un-dock and hot dock with everything reconnecting. Supports two 4K screens at 60Hz. Is more compatible than other brands I have tried.

Connect Laptop to Peripherals with ease.

Works with 5540 laptop. I plug the USB dongles into the back of the docking station. This connects wireless keyboard, mouse, headset. Two monitors are connected to it. When I get to work all, I have to do is plug in one cable

Frustrated with non-functional ports

Dell picked an inopportune time to ask for my review. I have had the WD19TBS for about ten days. As instructed, I downloaded any possible driver updates before using the product. I connected a second monitor in the HDMI port, internet cable in the Ethernet port and wireless mouse and a wired keyboard in the USB ports. Every device plugged into the WD9TBS worked flawlessly. I took my laptop with me on a five day trip. When I plugged the WD9TBS into my laptop upon my return the only devices that are now operational are the power supply and the second monitor. None of the USB ports or the Ethernet port are functional. I have shutdown and restarted my laptop a number of times and have unplugged and plugged back in the WD9TBS a number of times without success of restoring the functions of the non-responsive ports. I not yet contacted Dell with these issues but will do so as soon as I finish this review. Hopefully, they have a suitable resolution to this aggravating problem.

Thank you for your very detailed review. We are sorry your Dell Thunderbolt Dock isn't functioning the way it was designed. We understand that the overall functionality of your products means a lot and have provided a possible fix to help with your issue:

1.cEnsure that the latest BIOS and drivers for your laptop and the docking station are installed on your laptop.
2. If your BIOS Setup has a USB Enabled/Disabled option, make sure it is set to Enabled.
3. Verify if the device is detected in Windows Device Manager and that the correct device drivers are installed.
4. Ensure that the docking station is connected securely to the notebook laptop. Try to disconnect and reconnect the docking station to the laptop.
5. Check the USB ports. Try plugging the USB device into another port.
6. First power off the docking station by disconnecting the USB-C cable and then removing the power adapter from the dock. Then, power on the docking station by connecting the power adapter to the dock before connecting the USB-C cable to your laptop.

Really nice dock, highly versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dock replaces an older Dell dock (the square type), and has a lot of improvements over that older style. I appreciate the longer TB cable, the slimmer form factor, and the improved device compatibility. I have been using it with several computers including a DELL Precision 5530, 5540, 5550 and now a 5560. I also found that it works well with a 13" Macbook Pro.
