I've always opted away from docks like this because I thought I would save a few bucks and just deal with all of the additional cables when moving my laptop to and from work. After finally getting one I can't imagine going back! It was painless plug and play (just like its always supposed to be, but rarely is) with my XPS. All my monitors, network, keyboard, little mouse dongles... even power through just the USB cable.
I have had several docks in the past. And with varying degrees of success. The Dell Dock does exactly what I wanted. One cable to the laptop for power and desktop functionality. I have the 8 core 9500 xps, so while not a graphics powerhouse, it is amazing for office and other use. This updates as needed, and has been entirely glitch free. It drives a Dell 38inch Ultrawide via usb c, and the two rear usb ports are used for a 7 port dock and logitech keyboard adapter. It is exactly what I was looking for.
