This dock is very good and very useful. It allows me to connect all my peripherals to my laptop while at the same time charging the laptop as it supplies more than enough power to do so. My only complaints are that I wish it had a few more ports and that it was a bit cheaper than it is. Therefore I gave it four stars.
Great for my XPS15, lasted about 1 week with my XPS13 though...

Works fine with my XPS15. Worked great with my company's XPS13 for about a week or so, before the docking station decided to stop communicating with it entirely. Everything else works fine with the 13" (4K displays connected directly, external audio devices, etc.), but the docking station refuses to do anything with the XPS13 at all anymore. Since my XPS15 was the primary computer for this dock and everything still works fine there I'd probably have never even known about this and would have 5-star'ed the unit...but it feels really low-quality to have two Dell devices simply stop working together.
Since my XPS13 is a work computer, and this docking station is a personal device that continues to work with my personal devices, this isn't anywhere near as bad as it could have been...but I am extremely close to considering opening up a support ticket for a faulty unit.
