While a solid piece of equipment, each part weighs 2-3 lbs. There is nothing portable about this docking station, so you still must rely on a portable multi-port extension when traveling

Great accessory. Changes the Laptop to a Desktop with one plug. When I bought this Dell Thunderbolt dock I also bought a Dell XPS 15 laptop . And I am so glad I bought both together. Now I only have one wire to plug in when I start work. I love that simplicity. The Thunderbolt dock seems to do everything I want and do it FAST. This dock really maximizes the XPS's thunderbolt capability.

The Dell Thunderbolt Dock performs as promised, however for the price I wish it would have a couple more USB ports.
