I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it is to integrate the Vostro 5391 Laptop into an existing dual laptop environment connected with an IOGEAR KVM switch. The monitor is a VGA which I used the Dell HDMI to VGA adapter since the Thunderbolt Dock does not have a VGA output. The Wireless keyboard and mouse connect to the KVM switch with an USB receiver so both laptops are controlled by the same keyboard/mouse. I was counting on some serious technical challenge however the system worked flawlessly when first powered up.
It works well. I like the fact that I only have one connection to my laptop. I use a wired mouse and big screen. The Thunderbolt dock also has extra usb connections if needed. Sometimes I use my laptop without the big screen, external mouse and other connections. I use to have to disconnect several cables on my old laptop and now I only have to disconnect one cable.

Dock works great, though it's pretty large and heavy. Initially caused all kinds of problems on laptop boot until I changed the laptop's Thunderbolt security in the BIOS (I wish this was discussed in the manual). I wish the dock used mini DisplayPort connections like my MacBook 2013 and Microsoft SurfaceBook Dock, so I can swap between them easily. Fantastic to run 2 external monitors!
