Item is loud, directional lovers are a joke, basically never stops running, did not come with sleeve, the sleeve cost will bump the cost by more than 30%. Recomendation shop shop shop before purchasing this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Front plastic grill rattled from the start- had to put tape etc. to stop rattle- very flimsy. In cool mode— low- it is pretty loud in my apt.energy saver mode is a little better. also the louvers on the grill do not tilt UP enough to allow air to flow up into room— only down one foot from floor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only negative that could be easily corrected is the drawing and explanation of where to place the foam strips in a new wall sleeve and the importance of tilting the sleeve so it has a 1/4" downward slope away from wall. The current instructions and drawings do not show this clearly.

Works fine but it's so loud. Also when I look from inside my house I can see daylight through the grill. That seems quite odd.

I bought this about a month ago to replace a wall unit that was over 40 years old. We were afraid to it due to its age. I bought a wall sleeve to go with this and it fit like a glove. I liked the fact that it came with trim pieces as well to give it a finished look.

The controls are much like the Friedrich air conditioner I replaced with this one, but LG is much quieter. It was as easy as pulling the old Friedrich out of the wall sleeve and sliding this one in its place. Took only a few minutes to install.
