[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old air conditioner finally died after over twenty years. We saw a LG (model LT1016CER) through the wall that would fit the old sleeve. This was during worst heat wave of the year. Ordered the unit through customer service and asked if they could put a rush on it as it was 91degrees in the room. Unit arrived at our local Low’s in five days. Service great, air conditioner great and runs quiet. Thank You
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought & installed it for my dad who’s 83 years old. The controls and remote are straightforward and easy to use. I had a few issues with installation, though. The supplied foam strips that are supposed to tip the A/C back slightly (to drain condensation) didn’t tip it enough. I was able to use some of the excess white foam blocks to get it tilted properly. The other issue was the frame that surrounds the unit to cover the gap. It was too small to fit properly and I had to leave the bottom of the frame open.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed this about a month ago for my son's room. The A/C is right next to his bed so we were trying to find something quiet. We were happy to find that this unit is quieter than the Frigidaire unit we got last year in another room. Cools well and is a reasonable price. Hopefully it holds up long term, we shall see.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase the AC on 06/08/2018, so far it works great. Still learning how to use it now that weather is in the 90's. Checking to see if it has a timer. It looks nice and working great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit is a decent value. Installation instructions are almost useless, I had to google all kinds of ideas and information and there was almost nothing about this unit so looked at other basic wall installs. There was no video support from LG either. You have to get the sleeve with it. you can not install without it and that is not clear on any of the store websites or even from LG. The sleeve, I had to drill holes in to secure, the directions dont even say how to secure it. Then the unit just slides into the sleeve, there is no way to actually secure it except to pack the supplied foam strips around it in the sleeve which sort of wedges it in place. The unit does cool ok but installation instructions need to be more clear. I just guessed how to install it. also, the energy saver mode. it comes on every 3 minutes to run the fan for a few seconds in order to sample the air temp before then deciding whether or not to turn on. the problem with that is that it constantly cycles. I would have looked at other brands had I known this. Maybe it's better than those even so but I can't say. If it lasts as long as the old one did, I'll be happy enough. If it's short lived, then everything else would make it worse. However, there are not a lot of options for through the wall units so I was at least happy LG offered one.
I have had this unit running for about a month. Works great at keeping a small, insulated room cool. My only complaint is that it’s loud enough to drown out the TV and I have to turn the volume up and down as the AC goes off and on frequently.
