I bought this new model of LG window AC to replace 10 years old, also 6000 Btu AC which was unacceptable noisy , making 64 decibels -9model LG 6000ER. It was disposed. New model (LW 6019 ER )is pretty quiet,
making only 55 decibels, so it can be used in our bedroom.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this are conditioner, and it arrived in the middle of hazy/hot/humid days. This replaces another brand that was noisy and kept us awake. But THIS LG is super quiet, just as Consumer Reports says. It's even quiet in power saving mode where it turns on and off. I also like that I have more control of the direction of the air vents . I can direct it so that it doesn't blow directly on me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I approved of the first model I bought in 2020 so much, I bought a second unit this year (2021).
The "Energy Saver" feature is great because it turns the unit off when the temperature of the room(s) is reached.
There is a lighted signal that comes on every "2" weeks to remind you to check the intake filter and clean if necessary.
Remote control is really nice to have, especially in the bedroom, when it gets a little too cool in the middle of the night.
Both units do make a slight "bubbling" noise when they restart, but it's just a function of the fan using some of the condensation water to cool the compressor.
My "2" 6000 btu units cool a 750 square foot efficiency apartment.
Electric bills are very reasonable, even with the higher TVA rates charged during the summer months.

The 55 inch size is just right for our room as we sit about 12 feet from the unit. Sound quality is fine but if you want really good sound add a sound bar
