I have been an HP customer for over 30 years between laptops and printers. This printer is as good as any that I have ever used. The tech support was also good. The PROBLEM IS: why should I need the HP tech support to start using the machine? Not only I needed to call the tech support, it took them nearly 30 minutes to get it going. Realize that I am fairly tech savvy. Whatever happened to the "PLUG 'N PLAY" technology? To that extent, I am disappointed.
Very tinny and noisy. No comparison to the 8600 that it replaced. The 8600 was a workhorse. Used it for both personal & business, lasted 10 years. I'm retired now, won't be using the printer nearly as much. Hope it lasts 10 years. Doubt it.
My expectations were high and it's been a little disappointing in small ways. It wasn't clear how to adjust the paper tray for different size paper. And it's tricky to get the tray in and out of place. Also, I use a heavier paper that would get jammed. The tray that receives the finished print is not big enough. I think a large number of copies might fall off.
