How poorly my HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e operates.

The paper tray does not hold the paper properly. When trying to print something that is several pages long from the computer, it tends to jam and misprints the second page. It is also very slow to print.
Whoever designed this model (in my opinion) really messed up the paper handling feature!!
Also, when starting the printer after it has been off, it makes a lot of clunky sounds as it goes through its procedures. My old HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 was SO MUCH BETTER!!

Hi, Charles.

I’m sorry that you’ve encountered difficulty with your printer. I can wholly understand why unreliable feeder performance and paper jams would be tremendously frustrating, especially considering your previous HP printer gave you much better results. I want to help you remedy the problem. I hope the resources and information below serve that end.

First, I can’t tell from your review whether the paper jams happen at the document feeder or within the printer itself. If it’s the former, I recommend you follow the steps in a guide on our support site to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up paper at all. Find that guide here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503

If it’s the latter, I suggest going through the steps to clearing and avoiding paper jams that you’ll find in this troubleshooting guide on our support site:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06201289

If the problem persists – and for more input on how the feeding system might be malfunctioning – I recommend you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number:

HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e AIO

I wanted to update my old HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 to the newer model, but found the new version 9015e AIO to be flimsily made - especially in comparison to the old model. Just to give you a sense of the difference, the new machine weighed almost half the 8710 -- so it seems to me that the new machine used less plastic which made it seem so fragile - the paper tray, the door to the ink cartridges and even the paper feeder/scanner at the top of the unit. I was afraid it would easily break -- it was like walking on eggs as I put it together.
Price-wise, the newer model was very good - one of the reasons I opted to get it -- especially with the instant ink offer that would give free ink for 9 months.
Technically, I'm sure this machine is great - but like I said above it seemed so fragile that I opted to keep my older 8710.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This thing eats paper. Sometimes on the first feed it crumples the page, and frequently when feeding the 2nd page it crumples and jambs.

Hi, Russ.

I’m sorry that your printer has experienced so many paper jams. I can wholly understand why that would become exasperating in no time. I want to help you resolve this problem, so I’ll provide some resources that I hope will reach that goal.

I can’t tell from your review whether the jams are occurring at the document feeder or within the printer itself. If it’s the former, I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site to document feeders that pull through too many pages at once or fail to pick up any paper at all. Find that guide here:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_3833686-1493864-16

If it’s the latter, I suggest going through the steps to clearing and avoiding paper jams that you’ll find in this troubleshooting guide on our support site:
- support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06201289

If the problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:

- Model number
- Serial number
- Your location
- Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)

Printer arrived on time. Setup was fairly straight forward if you followed ALL the instructions as required. After set up, Setting the preferences and printing was easy to complete. Print quality was very good for both black and white and color. Have not printed any photo's yet.
I would definitely recommend this printer for home/small office use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I cannot imagine a design that requires restarting a printer after every rest period. It consumes time and is frustrating. The printer should wake up in response to a print job.

New and Improved Printer
on September 28, 2023

I purchased this printer because my previous printer, though it was not a year old, was not working up to it's standards. Now that I have a new printer the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer, which works very well and it's quiet and fast. It also stores more paper then my last printer. It's smaller in size, but very much powerful.
