Installation was an arduous process, with several errors and starting over. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Plus you have to use your phone to install and print. I do all my work on the computer. Also photos have white lines through them which makes them unusable. Text documents print fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Your frustration comes as no surprise, considering you’ve had a difficult setup process, the inability to print from your computer and white lines through photo prints. I want to help you remedy these problems, so I’ll suggest some resources that I hope will make that happen.
First, you should be able to install the HP Smart App on your desktop or laptop computer as well as your mobile phone. I recommend that you follow a guide on our support site to installing and using the HP Smart App, especially the FAQ portion, which covers common questions as well as difficulties users have encountered. Next, I can’t tell from your review why photo prints contain the white lines you describe. For help with this, or if you’re still experiencing software difficulty, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess what’s happening and find the best course of action. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
Pretty big and fast printer. The set up was time consuming and not too well self explanatory. Because we kept skipping the credit card set up (as optional), the printer did not wanted to complete the set up. I think the company should be more transparent in relation to the CC and update the setting instructions. Other than that, it is a great printer.
This is a great printer which replaced my HP 8620 after 12 years of faithful service. The only experience I have experienced to date is frequent connection interruptions to my computer which are annoying but easily fixed.
