Printer works good if you want to login and print from the cloud. If you just want to connect from local computer, the setup is extremely difficult and unclear if HP will continue to support in the future. I would not have purchased the printer if I had known this ahead of time.
I wish I was happier with this printer for what I paid for it. I have had two IT people out and the only way to scan from this printer is by using the HP software, you cannot just use the buttons from the screen on the printer. It also advertises that it prints much faster than it really does. The 2nd tray is also impossible to get to work. Save your money and buy the cheaper model or spend the money on a laserjet. This printer is overpriced for what it is and lacks functionality.
Nice printer. Software installation is ridiculous. That hp 123 site is confusing and simply doesn't work. Keeps saying there is a newer version of the software but it's the exact same version when you try to install it. Keeps you in an endless loop until you totally remove the software and just download from the regular hp site. Then you get a message from the printer that a printer needs an update. Crazy!
Although it looks newer it seems to print half solid print, underline looks like 1980 dot Metrex. It paper catches does not retract and you have to manually put you hand on it to make sure it does not break up. So far the clicking sound of plastic parts are far different the the solid sound of my 8610?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
