I just set up the printer yesterday, mostly accurate setup instructions. Setting up the WiFi on the printer required knowledge of router name and password (obviously). Using the home WiFi was able to interface with our Windows 7 Pro and our Windows 10 desktop computers without much trouble. With the Windows 10 was able to install the HP Smart application and had it discover the HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer. Then was able to use HP Smart application for our two iPhones and iPads. Was able to print from all devices successfully. The print quality was excellent. Except when printing photos which has noticeable vertical lines determinable in the photo. When inserting the ink cartridges at first I got the error that the cartridge was not found. After carefully removing and reinserting the cartridges did the error go away. Overall the printer seems good for our home use with the exception of the flimsy ink cartridge slots. Also was able to print envelopes, plain paper and glossy photo paper fine. But was careful in handling the paper tray as I get the impression that it could break easily. But I think if careful the printer may last a year or two.
I bought this printer a few weeksago and it has performed very well. the only issue that i have is that the keypad stays illuminated all the time since the printer needs to be in constant contact with HP. Not a big issue - just a little annoying.
I bought this unit to replace two separate components to my home office. It has replaced a duplex scanner, and a separate All-in-One printer that wasn't duplex scanning. It is a wonderful asset to be able to scan both sides of a document at once, and it made my office neater and more efficient.
Plastic feels cheap and flimsy especially the paper storage tray. The adf duplex scanning which is why I picked this printer scans pages consistently crooked. Ended up sending the printer back.
We’ve had this printer a couple of weeks. It gets used every day. It was very easy to set up, to connect to our home network, and to connect devices to wirelessly. Printing, copying, and scanning features have all worked well so far. I like the document feeder for copying and scanning. We use the HP Instant Ink with this printer which we used and liked on our prior, older HP printer.
Still trying to set up the scan to email option. I don’t have a computer engineering degree to figure it out. I don’t want to use an app to use my printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Chris.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has been so difficult to set up. I can readily understand why such a steep learning curve would be a frustrating start to owning a new printer, so I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.
First, you can access a setup tutorial as well as user manuals, troubleshooting guides, how-to documents and software updates for your printer on our support site. Do that by following this link: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-9010-all-in-one-printer-series/23903057/model/24208582
You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues, including setup and connectivity. There you can also find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. You can find the page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If you still need help with the scan-to-email function or any other issue, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I bought this as a replacement for an hp office jet pro 8600. It doesnt have nearly the same feeder capacity. It doesnt scan from the feeder tray automatically like the 8600. Was told a lot of hype about the smart routines/short cuts. Reality shows them to be limited and not as intuitive as I'd hoped.
