Very satisfied with initial use, overall a great product.
One minor concerns: the print alignment calibration didn't seem to be able to detect the alignment sheet, not a significant issue as the printer works very well with the default settings A small bug (literal in this case): there is a dead ant behind the glass on the control pad, it seems that this bug was able to escape quality assurance testing, and it doesn't seem to impact performance at all, but it might be good to check that other printers in this assembly line aren't shipping with the same issue.
Just bought this and it says the print head is missing or incorrectly installed. So it does not work. Total piece of junk. I have had other HP printers in the past and you can tell this one is really cheap quality. Then hard to reach tech support. Wow HP - this is a total piece of cheaply made garbage that does not work! My impression of the company is changed forever.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your new printer has displayed an error message regarding the printhead. It’s easy to understand why that would be quite an unwelcome shock, so I’ll offer a few suggestions I hope will help remedy the situation.
I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the error message or how to remedy it, so I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and guide you through any applicable troubleshooting. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
I bought the 9010 to replace an HP Officejet Pro 8620 that has been a workhorse of a printer. I would not have replaced it if I could have repaired the RJ-45 plug. We have used nothing else other than HP printers since 1994 when we used the 2500 wide format. I looked forward to the 9010 to be an excellent replacement. It was a disappointment within two days and we returned it. So...what was wrong? The out-feed tray does not have a dedicated 90 degree paper stop. The paper stop is set at a very "Laid Back" (Appx) 130 degree angle and that simple design flaw causes large print projects to spill all over the floor. The out feed tray does not extend far enough to accept a full 8.5 x 11 inch sheet of paper, rather the angled paper stop has the paper eject out and over the paper stop. That works fine for 2 or 3 sheet print projects but as soon as you get up to 8 to 40 sheet project it's a disaster. That problem is only exacerbated when you move to legal size paper coupled with the extended dry times on output pages the combined paper weight just drags the paper off the front and off the side of the output paper tray . It was just not a tolerable situation. The tray is too short and not functional at all for legal.
