Time will tell if this unit will function. Right off the bat the machine did not recognize the toner cartridges that came with the unit. Installing the toner cartridges was clunky. No positive "click" when installing. Instead the cartridges sprung out a short time after installing. Not a good tactile system. Unit does print good quality and fairly fast output. Does make a lot of clanky and clunky noise while printing. Getting the system on to the network was really quick and simple.
The 9010e series printer falls short of my old 8750. Despite research to determine if it would print 8.5 X 14 inch paper (which it does) nowhere did I read that it could only handle this size paper printing restricted to one side only). The 8750 would do both sides. Further, the set up isn't easy. I hired someone to do it. Even so, it was difficult. This contractor was able to solve my inability to print from my laptop (not an issue to print from my desk top), before he departed. BUT next day after booting up the laptop, I couldn't print once again. After extended time getting to an HP tech who was an 9010 series printer "expert", Virginia was able to get me going. HOWEVER, once again, when I booted up the laptop the next day, only .pdf documents would print. MOST frustrating. I'll be calling HP Tech Support tomorrow or the next day and spending yet more time getting this device to work.
Setup was not easy and friendly. Kept getting ink carriage error message. After getting it working, next day had another error message. Found one of the ink cartridges had popped out. Printing is very very slow; not up to standard. Connected to home network. Had less issues with previous printers.
