The ink that came with the printer showed low as soon as I installed them. I signed up for Ink+ and they are sending new ink but it has been over a week and they have not arrived. Not happy. My last HP printer lasted over 10 years but does not print on two sides anymore so had to buy a new one.
The reason I give it a 3 star status is because of the problems I had to get the ink cartridges to click into place. They kept popping out. That took about half an hour just by itself. Patience was needed. When I did finally get to be able to print it worked exactly as I expected it to. When printing on photo paper be sure to set it on best printing mode otherwise you will get streaks or lines through the photograph. When attempting to print a photo on 4 x 6 inch photo paper it got stuck and did not print even though I set it to the correct setting for the size of paper I was using. I haven't printed any envelopes yet, so I am not sure how the printer will respond to that setting.
We like our HP printer, however, we have had multiple connectivity and offline problems with the new printer since its setup. Two cases have been opened and closed and we are intermittently dealing with offline issues. HP Technical Support technicians have tried to be helpful but we continue to have to use self help tools to get the printer to work. We did not have this issue with our old printer.
My only complaint is that the document feeder tray doesn’t have hinges that allow a soft close. You either have to hold the feeding tray open or open it completely otherwise it will fall down onto the glass. I don’t understand why HP would design it this way. My previous HP all in one printer was not like this.
