I bought this 2 months ago and what a bust. It repeatedly has issues when replacing installing ink cartridges. The print quality is nice when it’s not in error mode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
Thanks for the review and the feedback. While I’m glad you’re satisfied with your printer’s print quality, I’m sorry to learn that the device has performed poorly otherwise, especially after installing new ink cartridges. I want to help you remedy this problem, so I’ll provide a resource and some information aimed at reaching that goal.
I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the errors you describe, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
Great Printer! Everything I have printed has come out beautifully! The only downside that I can find is that I can't seem to get away from Windows Fax and Scan...which is horrible. I have tried to disable/uninstall and it keeps coming back. :(
I love this machine. My only problem is the cartridges that came with it had hardly any ink in them. I really need to know when the Instant ink will start.
Replaced my HP OfficeJet 8740 with this because checks were printing slightly askew and nothing I did seemed to fix the problem. This printer does the SAME thing. And it’s not as fully featured and it’s a lot noisier. Frustrated with HP.
I was without a working printer right in the middle of a very big project. The one I had was 3 1/2 years old and under warranty so was told I would get a new one at no charge. It came the next day, your service is very good, but when the initial set of ink needed to be replaced the PH would not move so that I could take them out. After much time with tech support I was told they would send another one, which came the next day, but it came without a PH and there was the message that I was to take the one out of the old one to put in the new one. The reason I was given the new one (both refurbished which would have been acceptable if they had worked) was because I couldn't get it to move, so I decided to just go ahead and buy a new one, but since it was not a replacement one, it took a week to get here. When I plugged it in, the red light came on that there was a paper jam. Which, obviously being brand new, or at least that is what I was paying for, there should not be any paper in it, and there wasn't. Finally, the 4th one in three weeks is working, even though I keep telling it how much I hate it.
