[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a second printer for my home.network to ensure both me and my working spouse had print access and speed to expedite print outputs at same.time throughout the day.
Everytime I want to use it is offline. I have chatted and tried to fix it with online chat, live person, etc. nothing fixes it. It works for a little bit but then same thing happens again.
Constant problems with my computer since installed. In fact, the printer had to be re-installed several times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that you’ve encountered such trouble with your printer since its installation. You mention your computer as well as your printer being affected. While I can’t tell from your review quite what happened, I’ll nonetheless direct you to a resource and some information I hope will help you remedy the situation.
I’ll point out that HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. To call and reach live HP+ experts who can help you assess what’s going on and find a solution, visit the following URL and enter your HP+ serial number: - hp.com/plus-help
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies – and that warranty extends to two years with an HP+ account – so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
Printer is very noisy. It "squeaks" when it first starts up as if it needs to be oiled.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that you’re not satisfied with your printer purchase. I can understand why the device making the squeaky noise you describe when it starts to print would be aggravating. I want to help you remedy this problem if possible, so I’ll offer some clarifying information and a resource I hope will reach that goal.
First, I’ll point out that while your printer is powered up, it makes sure that the nozzles are regularly cleared, which can be noisy, especially if the printer is on a hard surface. I suggest you try placing the printer on a padded surface to muffle the vibrations that occur.
If that doesn’t mitigate the sound, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
The printer was easy to setup on both Mac and PC. The Smart App is easy to use too. We don't print a ton but I did sign up for HP+ and already received my first ink refill. The quality of the print is excellent as well. Hopefully this one last as long as the Epson we had before.
I wish the folks that develop these printers would enlist the use of focus groups before releasing their products. Asking for a review at this point is a little late. Its NOT USER friendly. What's up with having no ability to print Word.docs? I do NOT like this printer. Buying online is the easiest way to get craps you don't think you'll get. I do not recommend HP anymore. They once had my business. They lost it with this printer.

Hi, Blake.
I’m sorry to learn that you’ve encountered such difficultly and inconvenience since you purchased your printer. I can readily understand why confusing functionality and the inability to print certain types of documents would be an unwelcome surprise and a bad start to owning the device. I want to help you get the printer working to your satisfaction or otherwise resolve the situation, so I’ll provide links to some resources I hope will accomplish that.
First, the printer should print Microsoft Word documents. To figure out why that’s not happening, I suggest you visit the page on our support site below, where you’ll find troubleshooting guides specific to your printer as well as user manuals, how-to documents and software updates: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/model/37934143
You can also visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various tasks and issues. There you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning issues. Visit that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If any problem persists or you need assistance, I recommend that you contact us directly so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. The 8610e to me is/was a better printer for all your needs. The printer tray needs to taken out and rein stated almost after every print job. The scanner constantly sends error message of the original copy is jam and the printer has to be reset.
