I replaced an older version of this printer and considered it an incredible work horse. The current printer took about 30 minutes to set up including taking it out of the box. Instructions are very clear. It prints from my iPhone, my husband’s iPhone, my iPad, Mac computer, husband’s PC - wireless and three stories away. Very happy!
I'd rate it higher if your scanning dialogue box were more legible and usable. In its present form, it is much too small -- 1/4 of the size of the one you had on the model 6968, which I had for a few years. I cannot understand why your company and/or your tech people cannot or will not fix this (which is it?). Yes, when superimposed on top of the one from my 6968 it fits in a single quadrant of the scanning dialogue box for that one. I'd like to know: Is it HP won't fix it? Or HP does not know how to fix it? One of your customer service reps has view my screen and seen the problem, and agreed with me; she said she would report it. HP should be able to update the software automatically to repair this.
Another problem, IMO, though a lesser one, is that when opening the dialogue box it defaults to 2 pages. We should be able to set the default for that. Again, on the 6968 it defaulted to 1, which covers most cases. And with the dialogue box so tiny, it's easy to miss.
It is a window product. Cannot undo mail because identity not recognized. No visual input confirmation. System said mail deleted but it was not. Now have to go though a dozen on-line “tips” as no w 10 help services. Hp may help. Last problem with W10 took three years to get into computer! Do like keyboard after years with tiny phone keys. Multiple updates poor. W10 is always updating and causing connection to printer(so far can print from word, other softs unknown yet).
Paper gets stuck on feeder and the machine makes a terrible noise. It happens on copying or scanning. Had a HP office jet 8600 for years and had trouble when it didn't print but copied and scanned.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer has developed a printhead issue. I can understand why that would be a confusing and unwelcome surprise, especially for a printer you got only a few weeks ago, so I’ll offer a resource and some information I hope will help.
I can’t tell from your review what the issue is or how you can address it, so I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
I bought this about 3 weeks ago. as i learn how to use the features the better i like it. i have hade no trouble out of it except from myself learning to use features as i need them. it prints beautiful pictures from the computer or phone. Eston
I am very happy with this printer. 250 page paper drawer, 2 speed print output. It was easy to install. Order came quickly. I did have to install the printer cartridges several times. I recommend this printer.
