I had an old version of this printer and feed tray was not working plus sometimes color printing was not very good so when I replaced my computer the price was so good that I decided to upgrade my printer. Love it, feeds smoothly, a little noisy but prints beautifully.
Sometimes it takes minutes for the printer to synch with my laptop. Also unit so tall! Why?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to learn that you’ve run into difficulties with your printer. I can wholly understand why having to wait several minutes for the printer to link to your laptop while also being dissatisfied with the design of the machine would make for a poor start to ownership. I want to help you remedy the issues that you can. I hope the resources below guide you to that end.
First, when you say you must wait for the printer to sync with your laptop, I can’t tell whether you mean a connectivity issue or a delay when you send a print job. If it’s the former, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity. You can find that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
If it’s the latter, I suggest that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed. Find that guide here: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2817150-2408088-16
Also, updating the firmware can often help improve print speed and other performance. You can find out how to do that here: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919168
If any problem persists, I suggest you contact us directly so we can help you assess what’s happening and find a solution. HP+ printers such as yours come with exclusive concierge support. I’m not pleased with this printer. It is loud — much louder than my last two HP printers. It sounds clunky like something is broken, but it isn’t. And it does not scan 11x14 like my old HP printer. And it frequently “needs attention,” making printing unreliable.
works fine when nit works. I bought this machine 60 days ago and have six case #'s already. Your techs get it going right, and 3-5 days later it fails again.
I use this printer only for copying and printing from my PC. I'm not using all its features, but I've no need for them. For what I need the printer for, it works fine.
