[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer was suggested as a replacement for my 8620. It seems to have quite a few issues. For example, I am not able to leave my fax connected to the telephone as this confuses the sleep function according to the customer service people - this was never an issue with the 8620. Indeed according to the manual auto off is disabled when there is a fax line attached, the manual is specific about auto off, however next to sleep mode there is no such mention. It is really a nuisance to have to plug in your fax when you need it to work.
Despite setting up the scan to computer and using it a few times, I had to run scan diagnostics to get it to work just yesterday after only a couple of weeks of using the new printer.
The screen on the new printer is smaller than the old screen which makes using it more difficult because I have large hands.
The build quality appears to have taken a downturn versus the 8620, particularly the paper tray.
I had to contact customer support (which was very helpful) to get all features working.
