The printer works well, however, it is very cheaply made. The paper tray is very flemsy. Also, no instructions on how to open up the ink cartridge area. Instructions tell you just to open the side panel, but you have to press down on a concealed button before it will open. Instructions could have explained that. Our old HP was made much better. Not very happy since I thought that HP made quality products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replaced older model 6970 which I had for years when a printer head went bad. The 8025e is supposed to be comparable, but does not seem as sturdy. After initial set-up and printing a few color pages, the red ink no longer works and the blue is inconsistent. Hopefully replacement cartridges solve the problem and it not the print heads.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
