I bought this to replace an older HP Printer. I have been a long-time home user and IT admin for HP printers. This printer is installed at home where I have Windows 11 Pro with current patches installed.
The price was good especially since it included a year of Instant Ink at 799 pages per month. The Office Jet Pro 8934E software was easy to install. My printer connects to the network by Wi-Fi. No ethernet connection during installation or operation. I like having 4 ink cartridges. HP Smart was installed for my previous printer. Initially it crashed often. Uninstalling and re-installing fixed the problem. I use HP Smart for scanning. Scanning is faster than with my older printer. This version of HP Smart has an Extract Text feature to produce a txt file. I have used it only once and it did a poor job extracting test from a complicated page.
Printing is not fast. 4X6 color photo at 300 dpi took 2+ minutes. Acceptable to me at this price point and my duty cycle. The document print quality is good.
The quality of the build is not as good as my previous printer. The printer has a lightweight feel. The paper tray is lightweight. The tray is adjustable for different length papers. There are only markings on the bottom of the paper tray to help align the paper. If I don't put the paper at the 11 X 8.5 mark, then paper jams inside the paper path. It would be better if there were a slider bar to butt against the paper to hold the paper depth.
In my experience with Windows and HP printers, Windows often showed HP printers as not ready after the printer went into power saving mode. Even though the printer itself showed ready. This seemed to be less of a problem with Windows 11 and now with this new printer it seems not to be a problem.
Overall, a satisfactory and usable printer / scanner at a good price point when 1 yr instant ink is included.

Does everything I need in a printer. Much shortertsame in height than the replaced Pro. HP's auto refill plan is a must have option. HP's printers are the best on the market and I wouldn't any other.
