HP has gone backwards on this one.

This device works adequately as a printer, although it frequently does not finish "ejecting" the final pages of a print job where I then am compelled to "wrestle"it away from the printer. Scanning is another matter, formerly HP did a wonderful job scanning and sending the file to where I wanted it. Now, the only way to accomplish this is through a forced use app on my phone or computer. The "work around" is a concept called short cuts where the printer will essentially use the app in the background to properly route the document. It's a mess, highly complicated , fraught with bugs and small errors. If you are looking for a quick easy to use home office printer and scanner...look elsewhere. (In compliance with the terms of service I was required to agree with prior to this posting: All of these thoughts are mine and mine alone, i was not paid for this review, and I do infact own and operate the device in question. I promise not to sue anyone over this review)

While I’m glad that your printer’s print function works OK, I’m sorry that it’s not released all the final pages of print jobs, and that you’ve encountered software trouble with the scan function. This is printer #2 now and it is still pulling multiple pages at one time when printing a document. Then as I am trying to set up the new replacement, the screen starting going crazy and flashing an error. Took 2+ weeks to get my replacement and now this one isn't working properly. SO OVER IT!

First I couldn'[t open the top. Then i couldn't access the ink area. Last, I could not ajust the paper tray. I went to two stores that sell printers and neither knew how to adjust the tray. I tried to print something and after clearing the jam, I printed a one-page doc and got three sheets. Wish I had my money back. My last HP. I bought this when my other HP said off line with no explanation or how to get it back online. Spent 90 mins. with HP tech to get that one working. I need printer to finish family album project. Why do you sell a product that even store techs don't know how it works?
