This is not the printer I thought it was. I was wanting a printer similar to my HP 8610 Office Jet Pro All in One. This is a cheaper printer and I'm not very happy with it but there is nothing I can do about according to the billing. I would not recommend it to no one.

I starting using the printer 10 days ago.The printer works very well. However, the HP Smart App is awful. I wanted to use the printer wirelessly. When I downloaded the App the App couldn’t find the printer even though the phone that the app was on was right next to the printer. I just deleted the app and connected the printer to my wifi. Printer is working fine. Only problem is when I want to print something I have to change the printer selection from the default (HP Smart) to the actual printer type.

I like HP printers after having many other brands over the years. I have two laser jets now that use toner and have automatic feeders. Both have FAX, copy, and Scan capability which functions I use frequently. They have been my most reliable and the lowest cost per page units. One is color and one is black and white. I print both letter size and envelopes and double sided for mailing lists and single correspondence pieces. The color unit is relatively new and the black and white is about 10 years old. It has recently lost it's copy feature but is my go to machine for every day printing from the computer and printing envelopes and inserts for mailing lists. I recently bought the 8025e for a separate location. It uses ink which requires more frequent new cartridges. The black ink ran out with infrequent use in three weeks. I'm use to running 2000 pages from a single toner cartridge in my ten year old machine, so I was surprised.The 8025e feeder tray is also harder to adjust for envelopes and legal size paper. The paper size indictors in the bottom of the tray don't appear to be properly marked. The tray can also cause jams if you do not position the tray properly in the printer. The print function and copy functions work well as does the automatic feed on the 8025e.
In all, I'd say HP printers are fast and reliable and good for the long haul. They are the only kind I now buy. I prefer the multi use (print, Fax, copy, scan) units and if you are going to do more than an occasional letter or document, go with the toner printers. Some say the print looks better with ink than with toner. I print some densely populated spread sheets, but have never had problems with legibility using toner. How nice the print looks and how much is the difference (if any) worth is up to you.

OfficeJet Pro 8025e Replacement for Dependable OfficeJet 6968

I bought this HP printer to replace our 6968 OfficeJet Pro. Thus far, the OfficeJet Pro 8025e seems identical to the 6968, which is good. If the 8025e proves as reliable as the 6968, I will be very pleased with it. I mainly use the scan function, having scanned thousands of pages with the 6968. I have already scanned around 30 pages with our new 8025e, printed about 5 pages, and faxed 3 pages of legal forms. The document feeder works well. It will do 2-sided scanning, but you have to run the pages through the feeder twice. A software feature that I like is that you can set the scan to auto detect the page length. Another is a setting that will auto detect page orientation. This is especially helpful if your document has mixed portrait and landscape pages. If I had to print hundreds of pages each month, I would buy a laser printer, but for light occasional printing and copying, this printer is more than adequate.
