I had to replace my old HP printer because the printer head went out and this was the suggested replacement. I've had problems with printing after I installed it and it was time consuming and frustrating to troubleshoot. It also takes several seconds between the time I click the print button and when it actually prints - so much so that I have had to check the printer queue to see what the problem is. Overall, I wish I had chosen a different model that had more "horsepower".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
