So, it shows a (4) above, but in fairness it's more like a 4.5 because I realize these days I could not buy anything better. This printer replaced a 10'ish plus year old 7520 AIO printer and wanted/needed another AIO. Many features for the buck and the print quality is VERY good! The machine is not tiny and does have weight... which is what I wanted. There are many pros to this printer! But you want to know what I don't care for, so here it is. The screen is a lot smaller than my old unit and a bit overly sensitive when your finger in on something. Install is pretty direct and simple, but be warned, install process if filled with up-sells, so pay attention to what you're clicking during the process!! Next, the paper catcher is a total nuisance as it's not only flimsy but simply rests on the paper tray with no defined ledge, catch or snap. It takes finagling for several minutes to get it to rest just right before it stops the tray open message. During install it prompted me for full install (recommended) or basic install. I selected full and it gave me only basic because full is not compatible with windows 8.1. So, I'm stuck with basic and have lost some of the features. When I also installed it on my laptop (windows 10) I got the full. But this is for my desktop. Lastly, scan to computer from the printer does not operate. I must open the printer from my computer and select scan. Why?? I'm not unhappy... but some tweaking would have made this nearly the perfect printer. To close I like it but pay ATTENTION during the install. Oh, and I do love the instant ink program!
