This printer was supposed to have all that I needed. Unfortunately the initial printer had a printhead issue. On the replacement it took several hours on the phone to get it set-up. Since then I have had issues with setting up the HP plus system on other devices.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big step backwards from the previous generation I had. I can't scan to USB anymore. I have to run special software on a Windows box just for scanning. This printer takes forever to startup. The tray is awkward and usually just tosses printouts onto the floor.

Bought printer few months ago, used it sparingly yet it started telling me the ink is low and needs replacement. Apart from the constant pop up offers to join the HP ink delivery program (which is somewhat annoying to have to keep clicking no thank you button), this worries me. How often will I have to replace the cartridges when I don't use it very often?

I have had the machine for a month or so and it works really well and I like it. The price was in the range of what I wanted to pay. Delivery was quick and the machine arrived undamaged. I was not easy to set up. First I could not get the print function to recognize my computer and had to talk to 3 different folks at HP. Later, the scan function would not recognize my computer and I was back on the phone. The instructions that were available on-line or that came with the printer were not sufficient to resolve these problems.. The Techs that helped were very patient and most willing to help get to the desired goals and I appreciated that. I am sure that, while I am not technically astute and was unable to resolve the problems, there there are many users like me.
I would recommend this to a friend!
