It takes a long time set everything up via the internet/wireless and one has to go back and forth several times. The printing in itself is o.k., though the printer squeaks (like brakes with no oil). Also, there is not automatic pull-in of the sheets when a document is scanned, so every page has to be individually placed on the glass-part of the printer and scanned. And the "instant-ink" is a total set-up and rip-off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once I finally set it up, this printer works great! Due to personal commitments, I had little time to swap the HP printer for my old Lexmark. I've bought many printers over the years, print quality and speed get better, set up harder, which is why I rated it at 4 instead of 5 stars.
It was very late at night, the HP was unboxed, all packing removed, on the printer table, ink cartridges installed, paper loaded and connected to my PC. (Note: adding a little text to the quick setup guide in addition to arrows and colored parts would be helpful) The need to then go online to open an HP account to use in conjunction with my Microsoft account (which I don't use, but HAD to have for Windows 10) to complete set up was a pain, especially
at 1:00am!
As stated before, the HP prints beautifully and quickly, Instant Ink may work out okay (we'll see) and once a few settings are programmed and I put a shortcut on my desktop, I'm sure ill be very happy.
