[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 8025e is a replacement for my 8640. While the new printer essentially does what is advertised, it falls far short of the quality and substance that was the 8640. The plastic is much thinner, the paper tray and receiving tray is quite flimsy and I fear the slightest bit of mishandling will cause the tray to jam or crack. Furthermore, the receiving tray is too short to receive the printed document and lay flat, causing the paper to build up and interfere with the out coming documents when a large print job is taking place. Lastly, the information window is very tiny making it awkward to either make selections or input #'s for a fax for example. The tilt function is almost worthless since one must support it from the bottom to counter its tendency to return to the flat position when entering data. Programing print options is also inconvenient as compared to the 8640.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is more about me than the printer! I wanted a straight forward uncomplicated printer. I was replacing an HP that I used and enjoyed. It is bigger and with computer choices. Will get used to it but learning and using right now, it is not what I wanted. My on line mistake choice. Wanted smaller too.

Efficient Works great for our limited use needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up was simple except that initially the carriage was jammed because the plastic packing guard for the print heads had fallen off and down into the machine the tape that was intended to hold it in place was doubled over so did not stick. To find it I went back over the set up drawings and saw that there was an item I had not seen in set up and looking inside with a flash light the missing gaurd was found. Once I fished it out the printer finished setting up and has been working fine since then. Only 4 stars because it is a little more flimsily built than it's HP predecessor but it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!
