[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was the low price that attracted me to the HP 3830 but after receiving it I was pleasantly surprised. It does everything. Of course it makes great prints, and photos but it also scans documents and photos, it sends emails, it automatically prints on both sides of the paper. Honestly it does the work of a printer costing 10 times more. Good job HP and thank you.

What this device does, it does well. The printer works nicely: fast, accurate, and quietly. For whatever reason, it is impossible to set up scan to computer. After spending hours working on it myself, I finally threw in the towel and hired an IT pro to try to set up the scanner. Neither of us was ever able to get the computer and the copier/scanner to work with the computer to scan directly to the computer. Whatever the reason, the engineers at HP Really need to spend some time on this issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is inconceivable that one ca get all the features the HP Office Jet 3830 All-in-One offers for the amazing low price. I have spent the last few days learning what all it will do. It would be better if it came with a written manual for the user but once a person gets started the information is available on line. I highly recommend the Printer to anyone.

This printer does all that I want, and MORE!!! I would recommend this product because cost versus value. Color is beautiful and response time from request to delivery is minimal.
