When it arrived and I took it out the box and sat it on my desk, I thought, "Oh! this looks very expensive and complicated to use, maybe they shipped me the wrong one, this probably was supposed to go to some Professional Office building, because for the price I paid for the HP Printer I ordered certainly could not be this one". I was so careful with it just in case I needed to send it back, LOL! Very Nice,

This does not print as as well as my orevious 5660, nor does it print double-sided. Still, HP recommended it as a suitable replacement. It was cheap. That was a good thing.

Good basic printer/scanner. Single drop feeder for paper, envelopes and photo stock means few jams if any. No flash drive or card reader plug-ins, which I consider useless because I prefer to do that on my computer. It could be better if it were heavier and faster.

This printer replaced a HP printer that had continuous problems. The 3830 is smaller and faster. It takes more steps to print 2-sided which is a nuisance. I'm also having the same issue of having to turn if off/unplug occasionally to get it to print what is the queue.
Pros: Affordable, Lightweight
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
