Instead of a printed user’s manual H-P has provided an app, a web site and printed enigmatic images. The printed material accompanying the printer has images only, are not accompanied with text. “What are you trying to tell me?” I thought. I haven’t found any utility in the app. Setting up a new printer has never been this hard, and I already have two H-P printers and a Canon ink jet.
I bought this as my other hp printer finally died. Really like how this operates, very quiet. Only feature missing from my old one is it would double side print. The photo printing is phenomenal.
I had some difficulty printing envelopes until my wife pointed out to me when I was trying to feed the envelopes into the printer using the photo tray. As soon as I took the paper out and saw the envelope illustrations and put the envelope in the correct location it worked perfectly.
It covers all the bases- fax copy scan photos. Two sided copying- takes multiple sheets- great network option including via iPhone. Runs in quite mode. Would I recommend it? Yes I got one for one a friend.
This printer replaced an older HP printer, that was much larger, and took up too much room on my desk. The set-up was very easy and I was ready to use it in less than 30 minutes after opening the box. Print quality on text is excellent, but I haven't tried it on color photos yet, but will do so shortly. It is fast, and quiet. Via wi-fi, I have it synced with my laptop and cell phone, but use a cable connection to my desktop computer. I have used HP printers for several years (ever since the early 1990s) and have never had any issues with any of them. For the price, you can't beat this one.
I most recently had to return a lower model for this purchase and I’m glad I did. The install and linking to my home WiFi took all of two minutes, versus the four hours on my return. The ability to print remotely, and to scan directly to my email are so convenient.
