I bought this when the print head in my previous HP printer went out 1 month after factory warrantee, about 2 years. I'm hoping the same doesn't happen her because the insurance to extend the warrantee is 50% of the cost of a new unit.

I have had the HP Envy Photo for a month and have had no problems with the printer per se. I did find the set up cumbersome as there were minimal instructions with some steps left out. I kept the installation simply and did not go wireless as I had problems getting it to "see" my PC. I am sure it was operator error, but I didn't have the time to mess with it and just needed it to print. I have no been able to scan from the printer console, but was able to find a HP Smart feature on the PC so I was able to scan commands from the PC.
I am sure it is not difficult, but once again I didn't have time to fuss with it. I got it to work and therefore, left it.
I would buy this printer again. It prints beautiful color and black and white as well as photos.
