Bought this for home use to replace an older hp printer. The new one is perfect for our use! Set up was a breeze! Prints documents nicely and photos are good quality with accurate colors! Got the automatic cartridge replacement so now we don't even have to monitor ink useage. Cartridges just show up in the mail! That's great! We love it!
I bought the ENVY 7855 to replace another model HP all in one machine. The ENVY is slow and the touch screen has no sensitivity. Even using a stylus is not much better Big mistake

Hi there,
I'm very sorry to hear that the printer isn't what you expected it to be in terms of printing speed and touch screen sensitivity. I can certainly imagine how disappointing this must be, so let's see how I can help remedy this.
First, regarding the slow printing, often just updating the firmware can help. The firmware download can be found at: support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/model/9073160
Next, I recommend following the steps suggested in this document: - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/bud03409 - Mac: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01928898
If this doesn't seem to help, please don't hesitate to reach out to us for support. We're always here and would be more than happy to help. You can get in touch via your preferred method at this link: hp.com/contactHP
I bought this 7855 to replace my old 8660 printer, not knowing nothing about this printer I took a chance and bought it, set up was simple and fast. The best part of this printer other then printing great photos is printing both sides of the paper and not having to flip the paper over and reinsert it and it is quiet and doesn't shake the table.
I do not like this printer, I miss my HP photosmart all in one 7520

I had a HP Photosmart printer prior to this one. While this printer prints well, it does not print photos as well. Disappointed about that

I purchased this for improved quality of photos. I haven't noticed that it is any better than the previous HP printer I had, and, in fact, I'm experiencing trouble with the paper sensor. It keeps saying it's out of paper when it isn't. Also, it SUCKS up the ink. I purchased extras when I got the printer and in less than a month's time, I've replaced the cartridges twice...I'm thinking maybe 20-25 double-sided docs per cartridge...my Christmas letter. BOO, HISS! Not a happy camper.

Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear that you've had a rather disappointing experience with the printer so far. I can imagine how inconvenient these issues with paper detection and ink consumption have been, especially during the holidays. I'd very much like to get this resolved for you, so let's see what I can do to help.
What I first recommend is trying the steps in this 'Out of Paper' troubleshooting guide: support.hp.com/document/c05537987
Then, I do have a few suggestions to try for lowering ink consumption. To start, I recommend using the printer's draft mode, as this can often improve ink usage. Following that, you could also set the printer to print black and white only. If you find you're still using quite a bit, Instant Ink might just be worth a try. Many customers like our available plans, as they're based on how many pages you print monthly. If your printer usage is generally pretty minimal, Instant Ink also offers a subscription plan that allows you to print 15 pages a month for free. For more details, you can visit this link: HPinstantink.com
If the issue you noted persists, please don't hesitate to contact us for support. We'd be more than happy to help, so you can reach us via your preferred method here: hp.com/contactHP
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me three tries to get the right printer for me and this is it. I am an artist / photographer who sells greeting cards of my images. This printer is just right for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned hp printers for well over 10 years! I replaced my last office jet not because of it no longer working (purchased in 2009), but only because it was time to update technologically. The HP ENVY Photo 7855 continues to demonstrate excellence. The resolution on the photo copies are amazing and the fact that I can get it straight from my smartphone is an additional benefit! Set up was easy and printing of documents is also well done!
