Printer locks up during printing job. Have to unplug and restart in order to proceed. Print job has to restart from beginning and even then printer sometimes locks up. Troubleshooting comes up with 'no paper installed' when there is paper installed. Very disgusting.

Hi there.
I’m sorry to hear that your printer is not performing like it should. I can understand how repeated lock-ups like you describe as well as paper not feeding properly would be quite frustrating. With that in mind, I’ll suggest some things I hope will help.
First, I recommend you follow the steps in this guide to document feeders that fail to pick up paper or push through too many pages: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01728503
You can find more troubleshooting guides as well as user manuals, video tutorials and software updates for your printer here: - support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-envy-photo-7800-all-in-one-printer-series/9073159/model/9073160
If the problems persist, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can guide you through the proper troubleshooting. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As usual, the delivery is prompt and the products a why I've been buying them for 20 years. They're excellent and if there's any difficulty with the order it's always handled rapidly and positively
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still trying to learn how to make different sizes of photos. Was not able to take advantage of the instant ink program
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just opened my printer and started printing some genealogy pages for my family to see. 50 pages in the ink ran out, yes of my NEW printer and there was a not that counterfeit ink was being used. Yet the ink came direct in the printer from the factory. What is going on??

Hi, Nelle.
I’m sorry to hear you’re so disappointed by your printer’s page yield. I can see how that would be rather unsettling, considering the printer was new. With that in mind, I’ll offer some resources and information I hope will help.
First, it concerns me that the cartridges you received performed so poorly. It seems that unless you were printing full-color pages that included images as well as text, you should have been able to print more pages.
To help you get the most from your printer through its life, here are some facts on ink use: - A high-density print (such a photo) will use ink more quickly than a low-density print (a text-only document), especially if the paper is highly absorbent and the environment is dry. - Using the draft and black-only settings on your printer can help save ink. - Shutting the printer down between uses can help. However, always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer “park” itself so that the cartridges are protected from excess drying. - If you suspect the low page yield was caused by a defective cartridge, you can contact the seller.
In the meantime, I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation. Please know that we’ve recently experienced longer than normal wait times recently for agents because of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
