The printer sometimes decides not to print. Only by talking to the support person did I find out I have to disconnect back of printer from power source. Wait and then reconnect to have it start printing again. This has happened twice in the last few weeks. Not happy about this AT ALL!
I purchased this printer to replace an older HP printer. Since my wife loves printing pictures of our grand daughter, I looked for an all in one printer with photo capabilities. This printer met all of my requirements and I am extremely pleased with its performance so far. It was extremely easy to set up and install the software. The print quality is superb as well as the photo printing. I highly recommend the HP Envy Photo 7855 All In One printer
I am a committed HP owner and over the past fifteen years or so I have had at.least three printers for photo printing including a small 5x7 dedicated unit. So far the 7855 has proven to be superior in many ways. The ink is far less pricey, the repro quality is excellent and the speed is greatly improvrd. As usual HP has exceeded my expectations.
Give me back my Photosmart 7520. Even though it failed, it was much easier to use than this Envy Photo 7855, which is not a good replacement. The screen and buttons are way too small and the buttons often require several taps before they work. Set up was a bit frustrating, not what I would call intuitive or well explained. It does print and fax (keyboard buttons for dialing are too small) okay, but I don't see any advantages. Scan features are minimal, compared to Photosmart 7520. Apparently the only resolution choices are default and "high," with no level definition of either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
