Item did not perform as promised. Photo print size malfunctioned. Top tray did not function.

Hi, John.
I’m sorry that your printer has performed so poorly. Your review is brief, but it’s clear why malfunctioning print sizing and paper feeding would be quite a shock with a new device. I want to help you resolve this situation, so I’ll direct you to a resource and some information I hope will reach that end.
I can’t tell from your review what’s causing the problems you describe, so I recommend that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and determine the best course of action. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Thanks in advance for your understanding.) To expedite the process, I recommend gathering the following information before the call:
- Model number - Serial number - Your location - Case number (from any previous contact with HP support)
I'll also mention that HP printers have a one-year warranty from their purchase date that covers hardware as well as ink supplies, so if it comes to that, you might consider making use of it. You can verify the warranty using the following link: - support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty
The 7855 is slower than my previous HP printer. It also doesn't seem to connect to WiFi as well. It does get the job done. I haven't used it for photos.
I replaced my Office Jet Pro 8600 Plus (Great all in one printer) with this and am quite disappointed. It often won.t print, have to reboot it, and it is slow to print
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there.
I’m sorry that your printer has performed poorly. It’s no surprise that you’re frustrated by unreliable printing, the frequent need to reset the device and slow print speed, especially considering you got such better performance from your previous HP printer. I want to help you get the device working to your satisfaction, so I’ll offer some resources aimed at making that happen.
First, I recommend you visit a page on our support site that has diagnostic tools for various issues, including wireless connectivity, which I suspect might be a factor in the device not printing. Otherwise, on the same page you’ll find a general-purpose tool called the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If you use Windows, the tool will help identify and guide you through solutions to a wide range of common printing and scanning difficulties. You can find that page here: - support.hp.com/us-en/topic/diagnostics
I also suggest that you follow a guide on our support site that covers improving print speed; choose whichever of the following two links matches your operating system: - Windows: support.hp.com/us-en/document/bud03409 - Mac OS: support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01928898
What’s more, often just updating the firmware can help improve print speed. You can find out how to do that here: - support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02919168
If any problem persists, I suggest that you contact us directly at +1 800-474-6836 so we can help you assess the situation and find a solution. (Please note that because of restrictions on personal movement and workplace attendance associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, wait times for agents are longer than normal. Great product. It does it all. More functional than my previous HP printer, but to be fair, it was 5-6 years old. Web-enabled, and connected to the remote services offered by HP. I went with the Instant Ink, and was pleasantly surprised when my first pack of ink came to my mailbox.
I like my new printer. I had the HP Photosmart for 10 years until it quit working, and the Photo Envy does do a nice job of printing pictures so I am happy with it, and the price was affordable. I just wish it was easier to set up so I hadn't had to call the HP technical people for help, but they did a nice job of helping me for the most part.
